Mission Outreach
Jesus said, "if you do it to the least of these, you do it for me."
A Sampling of our Mission projects:
* Neighborfest - we go into local neighborhoods helping people
* Mission At The Eastward to renovate houses for families in rural Maine
* help feed the hungry by serving at Downtown Daily Bread
* giving to the Ecumenical Food Pantry.
* CHPC is a partner in mission with Christ Lutheran Church in Allison Hill
* serves as property maintenance committee to keep up CLC's building
which houses the Holy Spirit Medical Outreach Clinic, a super youth group,
and other ministries in the poorest section of Harrisburg.
* provide coats and blankets to shelters in wintertime
* Host Christmas Gift Giving parties for children during the Advent season.
* Collects and donates eye glasses to those who need improved sight
* Host an annual blood drive
* support missionary work in Honduras, Northern Ireland, Arizona,
* long-term sponsor of refugees from the Sudan
* raise money for a variety of other national and international programs and
projects
* participate in disaster response relief through Lend-a-Hand with the
Presbytery of Carlisle.
